From Theresa Garnero
Avandia, Actos and heart attacks, oh my!
The diabetes drugs Avandia and Actos have gotten a lot of press lately due to research that suggests they MAY have an associated higher rate of heart attacks. Reader beware. Sensational headlines grab your attention, but the devil is in the details, so they say.
Please stay tuned for my next column that will focus on the Avandia-Actos debate.
And PLEASE talk with your healthcare provider BEFORE you decide to stop taking any medications.
Keep up the fight!
